The pan handle Alt-Az control with clutch provides smooth and accurate pointing so you can precisely aim at celestial objects. Use the included StarPointer™ red dot finder to accurately center objects in the telescope’s eyepiece. Once centered, track your object as it moves across the sky by gently guiding the clutch in an up/down, left/right fashion.

Smartphone Adapter and Bluetooth Shutter Release
Create stunning images and videos of celestial or terrestrial objects with the included smartphone adapter. Its light, rigid frame lets you connect any smartphone to the AstroMaster’s eyepiece. The eyepiece's magnification helps your phone capture great views of the Moon and planets. The adapter installs easily by clamping over an eyepiece, and tightening knobs secure your phone in place. Use the included Bluetooth shutter release to take photos remotely on any Android or iOS device—without touching the phone or disturbing the telescope’s alignment.
Note: Some large or bulky phone cases (including folio-style) may need to be removed to fit the adapter.
